Who & What
An extensive New York BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services) was gradually becoming more and more discontent with some of their active partners over recent projects completed. At the same time, one of their school districts was in desperate need of a storage solution for replication. They decided that they were open to having a conversation with Candoris about potential solutions to their dilemma.
Throughout the course of communication, Candoris displayed genuine concern, accessibility, exceptional expertise, and flexible solution options. Our engineering team initially proposed hyperconvergence as the prime solution, which turned out to be an impossibility due to budget restrictions. We then moved on to scope a solution that would achieve the needed performance without overextending financial resources. The customer was impressed with how we flexed to meet their needs without trying to push them into purchasing something that they could not afford.
Despite their newness to Candoris, the customer was confident that we could handle the challenging project at hand. They entrusted us with one of the largest projects they’ve ever had in one of their largest school districts. Within a month of the initial purchase they ordered additional hardware to ensure they would be prepared for the future with this new solution.
This large New York BOCES has many other component school districts. Talks have already begun with various districts about addressing upcoming data center needs, as well as with the BOCES offices to ensure that they are ready for success as they grow to support their districts. A bright future lies ahead with this new partnership!
